Certificates Issued by VA’s Undergoing SANAS Accreditation are Valid

SANAS announces that Certificates Issued by VA’s Undergoing SANAS Accreditation and who have gone through pre-assessment are Valid.
All Verification Agencies that have applied to SANAS for accreditation and have successfully gone through the Pre-Assessment Phase will be issued a Letter of Acknowledgement (LoA) from SANAS, which they can use to confirm the validity of the certificates they have issued. This announcement was made by Christinah Leballo of SANAS at the press conference held today by ABVA in Woodmead. The statement was in response to questions about the status of non-accredited agencies and the validity of verification certificates issued by these agencies.
ABVA Chairman Andile Tlhoaele explains, “all certificates from Verification Agencies that have applied to SANAS will be valid with the accompanying Letter of Acknowledgment from SANAS. Accredited Verification Agencies have undergone an independent assessment conducted by SANAS to confirm competence on accreditation and Verification Agencies that are still going through this application process will undergo the same assessment.”
This clarification is critical for the business community to understand as the Accreditation Process will be an on-going process with new accreditations taking place in the future. All Full Members of ABVA as listed on the web-site have applied to SANAS, and businesses are encouraged to use these agencies and to ensure they receive the Letter of Acknowledgement from SANAS along with their verification certificate
