The scorecard is measured out of approximately 100 points. The codes have defined various levels that span a range of points. For example on the 2007 codes, 30 to 40 points are level 8, 40-45 points are level 7, up to 100 points and above which is level 1 – the best possible level.
It is easier to talk about and remember Level 4 for a company, than 67.45 points. Each level has a specific Procurement Recognition.
The 2007 Codes have a different Points to Levels table to the Amended Codes:
